Terms & License Agreement

Last updated: August 28, 2026

These terms and the End-User License Agreement (EULA) below govern your use of software published by PMWorks (operated by Petr Muselík, “we”), including Desco (the “Software”). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

1. License grant

The Software is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms and payment of any applicable fee, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software.

2. Restrictions

You may not: resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Software or license keys; share a license key to exceed your purchased seat count; remove or alter proprietary notices; or reverse engineer the Software except to the extent that right cannot be lawfully restricted. Desco is derived from the open-source Spaceman project under the MIT License; the corresponding open-source components remain under their own licenses.

3. Ownership

We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Software. No rights are granted except as expressly stated here.

4. How the Software works on your Mac

The Software runs locally and uses macOS features (including Accessibility and window/Spaces APIs) to do its job. It is not sandboxed and is distributed outside the Mac App Store. Data you create stays on your Mac (see our Privacy Policy).

5. Purchases, pricing, and tax

Purchases are processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, who is the seller of record for the transaction and handles payment and applicable taxes. Prices are shown at checkout. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy’s terms.

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

7. Updates, and reliance on macOS

Desco works by using macOS behavior and APIs that Apple does not document or promise to keep stable. A future macOS update may change or remove something Desco depends on, and some or all of Desco may stop working as a result.

Updates to the version you purchased are provided free of charge when we release them. However, we do not guarantee that any specific fix or update will be made. If a macOS change breaks a feature, whether and when it can be repaired depends on the complexity of the fix — small changes may be addressed at no charge, but no update, fix, or continued functionality is promised. Buying a license unlocks Desco’s features on your Mac; it does not entitle you to a particular fix or to future functionality.

We may also change or discontinue features, and may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

8. Warranty disclaimer

The Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. In particular, and as explained in section 7, we do not warrant that the Software will keep working as macOS evolves. You are responsible for backing up your system and data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Software. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the license. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.

10. Termination

This license ends automatically if you breach these terms. On termination you must stop using and remove the Software.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
